Maximum Groovity 7... August 29, 2011... Ynares Sports Arena, Pasig...

One of the best experience I had. 19 universities battle for one title, a cash prize, and a chance to battle in the World Supremacy dance competition in Australia.

We arrived at 3PM. From 3PM to 6PM, we had our warm-ups, lunch, and blockings at the stage there. 6PM to 7PM, preparation for the battle. Went into the backstage and changed into our costumes. When I looked out in the arena, there were so many people that will watch. They were screaming so loud that I can't hear what my crew mates are saying anymore. Then the battle started.

The battle had three parts. Part 1, university #'s 1-7. Part 2, university #'s 8-14. Then part 3,  university #'s 15-19. We're in the third part, University #16. When the first part started, it was our chance to be with our guests, families, loved ones, friends and supporters for a while. The competition runned fast. From one group, it moved to another instantly. No breaks, no waits, no anything. When a group exits, a group enters. Quickly. From start to finish I was very nurvous, but hyper and excited as well. Then we're up.

As we enter the stage, there were screams and cheers from our supporters. The Lyceum of the Philippines University - Laguna also cheered for us, like how we cheered for them. Many said that our performance was great, neat, synchronized and very energetic. Thanks to them :) All we need are more stunts, blow-ups, transitions and styles. We were ranked 7th out of 19. Not bad! :) Some even said that we deserve a higher rank than that. :b

We want our school to be proud for us. Our group also wants to be an official organization inside the university. They said that we just need to prove that we are deserving to be an official org inside the university. Well.. we've already started to prove it. Our next target.. the Big Dome. Skechers Street Dance Battle 7. We will do our best for our crew, for our school, for our supporters, families, friends, and especially to our loving God. See you there fellow Pirates!
